It’s time for Flashback Friday, where we feature a book that’s at least two years old. We started this feature a few years ago with our besties over at Fiction Fare as a way to highlight books we might have forgotten about. They could be books we’ve read and loved or books we need to jump on. If you have a #FlashbackFriday, let us know in the comments. If you want more info about this feature, check out the details here. This week, we’re featuring:
Okay, okay, we know. We usually feature books that are at least a couple of years old for #FlashbackFriday. But don’t you feel like 2020 has lasted eleventy billion years? It has, and we’re over it. We picked this book as a way to get ready for #FridayNightLights because we’re all about football and can’t wait for the seasons to start. #GeauxTigahs And we’re all about #girlpower and Liv has that in spades. Even though this book came out just a few months ago, we feel like we’ve all been through enough to call this one a flashback and remind everyone to read the amazeballs that is injured QB Grey. You’ll love him. And her. And this book. Get ready for some football!

When softball star Liv Rodinsky throws one ill-advised (but well-deserved) punch during the most important game of the year, she loses her scholarship to her fancy private school, her boyfriend, and her teammates all in one fell swoop. With no other options, Liv is forced to transfer to the rival public school, Northland High, where she'll have to convince the coach she deserves a spot on the softball team, all while facing both her ex and the teammates of the girl she punched... Every. Single. Day.
Enter Grey, the injured star quarterback with gorgeous hair and a foolproof plan: If Liv joins the football team as his temporary replacement, he'll make sure she gets a spot on the softball team in the spring. But it'll take more than just a flawless spiral for Liv to find acceptance in Northland's halls, and behind that dazzling smile, Grey may not be so perfect after all.
With a winning cast of characters, a charming romance, and an unlikely quarterback taking the snap, Throw Like a Girl will have readers cheering and swooning from the very first page.
