On the night before they leave for college, Clare and Aidan only have one thing left to do: figure out whether they should stay together or break up. Over the course of twelve hours, they'll retrace the steps of their relationship, trying to find something in their past that might help them decide what their future should be. The night will lead them to friends and family, familiar landmarks and unexpected places, hard truths and surprising revelations. But as the clock winds down and morning approaches, so does their inevitable goodbye. The question is, will it be goodbye for now or goodbye forever?
This new must-read novel from Jennifer E. Smith, author of The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, explores the difficult choices that must be made when life and love lead in different directions.
3 Reasons You Should Read
Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between
by Jennifer E. Smith
- Our first reason is easy. Anything that Jennifer E. Smith writes is worth grabbing as soon as it releases. She has a way with words and we will always be anxious to read anything she puts out. Even if it is her high school diary. Okay, especially if it is her high school diary. (No, seriously. Can we get that?)!
- Reason no. 2? Because you get to meet Clare and Aidan’s besties, Stella and Scotty. Is it too early to put in our request for these two to have their own book? We’re going to need that. Big time.
- As much as we don’t want to share him, our last reason you need to get this book is because you are going to fall head over heals in love with Aidan. This boy says all the right thing and we just couldn’t get enough of him. We already know you are going to add him to your favorite boys list.

Aah, I so need to get my hands on a copy!!
I love your 3 reasons and I love all JES’ books. She writes such sweet romances, although, I thought this one was a little heavier than the others — the whole hello-goodbye thing hanging over the whole story. I will admit, I cried several times (and I would love a Stella/Scotty book too!)
I wanted to cry, too, Sam. I agree about this one being a little heavier. I loved it, though, and Aidan is a fave for sure!
