{Review} The Truth About Jack by Jody Gehrman

The great idea for this story and sweet boy wasn’t enough to make up for the slow pacing and lack of connection in The Truth About Jack by Jody Gehrman.

{Review} Sea of Stars by Amy A. Bartol

A fast-paced thriller with an intriguing storyline and lovable characters, we loved Sea of Stars and can’t wait to read more in the Kricket series by Amy A. Bartol.

{Review} The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things by Ann Aguirre

The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things is truly a story of broken hearts coming together to heal into something stronger than either of them ever imagined. It’s a story about a swoony boy, a sweet girl, and second chances. And it’s one of our favorites.

{Review} Twist by Karen Akins

We’re not sure we’re glad we read this one. The time-travel aspect was interesting and there was a lot going on here, but we weren’t fans of the pseudo-love triangle and the confusing plot elements.

{Review} The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord

One of the best books we’ve ever read, The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord, will have you laughing, crying, and wanting to hug your BFFs. It’s a must-read.

{Review} The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows

The Orphan Queen is about discovering the price you are willing to pay for what you think is right when you’re living in a world ruled by those wishing to keep you down, and what it’s like to have to hide behind armor and become someone you’re not just to survive. It’s not the best thing Jodi Meadows has ever written, but we’ll be back for more.

{Review} Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout

A story about second chances and finding out who you are when you don’t know anyone as well as you think you do, Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout wasn’t what we were expecting at all.

{Review} Trust the Focus by Megan Erickson

A fabulous story of growing up, choosing your own path, and following your heart. Trust the Focus by Megan Erickson is definitely one of our favorites we’ve read so far this year!
