Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is all about our Top Ten Goals/Resolutions in 2014! This was a very easy list for us to compile. We are always making lists about what we want to do. Sometimes they are filled with things we can do now, and sometimes they are dreamy things that we will be able to do someday. (Like living in houses next door to each other that connect via a library.) We have a lot that we want to accomplish this year and we’re convinced that together we can do just about anything. So here’s what is at the top of our “to do” list.
Our 2014 Goals/Resolutions:
More Reviews
This one seems obvious for a book blog, but we want it in writing. Because we are involved in so many challenges, memes, and our own podcast- we sometimes don’t make enough time for our reviews. Not this year. This year we will each be reviewing at least one book per week, most of the time it will be more than that! Which means you’ll see 2+ reviews a week from us. We can’t wait to share more of our thoughts and reviews!

Read More “Real” Books
Consider this part real goal, part shameless plugging! We joined up with our favorite twinnies over at Fic Fare to create a brand new book challenge. It’s called the “Real” Book Challenge and it’s all about reading physical copies of books! Who doesn’t love to page through real pages and smell that real book smell? Interested in joining us? Check out more information here!

Networking/Interactions
We always have high expectations for the blog. We like to think that thanks to the self fulfilling prophecy, all those high expectations will pay off! They deinitely did last year! In a year we almost double our reader count as well as our followers on Facebook and Twitter! We hope to keep that up this year. We want to be better about visiting other blogs and leaving comments, as well as always responding to the comments on our own site!
Get To Know Other Bookies
We want to take the time this year to get to know all of the people involved in this crazy, amazing book blogging world. We met some amazing bloggers last year and we can’t wait to meet even more this year. Sometimes we find ourselves too consumed by all the things we’re doing, that we don’t take the time to say “hi” and make new friends. Watch out bookies, we’re coming for you this year.

Time Management/Organization
We know everybody has this goal, but it’s true. We want to figure out a way to balance it all. To get the laundry done, the kids to sports, dinner cooked, time for twitter and reading and reviewing and podcasting… WE WANT IT ALL! That’s not asking too much. Right?

Reading Goals
We’ve set our personal reading goals for the year. Kassiah wants to read 200, Meg wants to read 100. We’ve been able to make our goals every year so far and we don’t plan on this year being any different. We’ve got lots of reviews, podcasts, memes, and challenges to keep us on top of everything so we’re hoping our end of the year book totals surprise even us!

Boys, Boys, Boys
You’d think we were crazy if we didn’t mention the boys. So here they are. We want to continue to meet swoony boys from every genre. We want to keep following in love with them and the authors who write them. But most importantly, we want more of this…
and lots of this..
and most definitely more of this…

Make Time For Older Books
Too many books, too little time. There are so many books (and series!) that one of us has read and loved, while the other one hasn’t had the time to pick it up. We want to try and make time to catch up on some of those titles. It seems like there is a constant stream of new and amazing things to read, but there is also an endless amount of “older” titles that need to be cherished too! {More shameless plugging} Look out for our new meme, that we’re co-hosting with Erin and Jaime from Fic Fare, called Flashback Friday. It starts this week and is all about books two years or older!

Meg’s Personal Goal
Last year we didn’t include our personal goals, but we thought it would be nice to do a little summary here for our last two spots. Meg is calling her goal “Get My Shit Together in 2014” She wants to conquer it all. Lose a little weight, get more organized, spend less/save more, try something new, stress less, and read more! That doesn’t sound too hard does it?

Kassiah’s Personal Goal
Kass is calling her goal “Life Takeover.” She wants to prioritize better and get more organized in all aspects of her life. Those things are hard enough to do in a normal year, but with everything going on with our sites, all of her kids activities, plus wanting to sell her house and move, her plate is extra full!

Awesome resolutions. I need to write reviews too, I’m probably the only one in our blog that hasn’t and it’s time I changed that!

Anyways, what a great list of goals! I’m a new blogger myself, but I have been following Swoony Boys for quite awhile! I just love your blog, and all the swoony boys 😉
Btw, that would be SO cool to have houses next door that connected with a library! 🙂
Thanks, sweets. We can’t stop staring at Theo, either 😉
