Prince North’s home is in the sky, in a gleaming city held aloft by intricate engines powered by technology. Nimh is the living goddess of her people on the surface, responsible for providing answers, direction—hope.
Linked by a terrifying prophecy and caught between duty and fate, they must choose between saving their people or succumbing to the bond that is forbidden between them.
Magnetic and gorgeously thematic, New York Times bestselling author duo Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner have crafted a gripping tale of magic and logic, fate and choice, and an impossible decision between an empty future and a deadly love. Perfect for fans of Claudia Gray and Laini Taylor.
3 Reasons You Should Read…
The Other Side of the Sky by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
- These two always come together and create something beautiful, and that’s exactly what we got in this first book of a new series. There’s a couple of main characters and a couple of worlds to fall in love with. And because it’s what they do best, there’s elements of Fantasy and Sci-fi (although this one is heavy on the Fantasy) mixed together.
- Nimh and North are our main characters and the story alternates between both of their point-of-views, both of which are fun to read. Yes, there are some romance elements, but it feels like it’s just getting started and we are excited to see it develop more throughout the series.
- It’s the first in the series so we already know you want to hear about the ending. And, yes. There’s a cliffhanger. It’s not awful, but it definitely leaves you wanting more and with some questions that you’ll be ready to have answered with book number two.
Bottom Line:
For lovers of Fantasy and Sci-fi (and Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner) get ready to fall in love with this brand new series. The Other Side of the Sky is the start of something beautiful!
